The way my husband set it up, no one knows it is a double wide. We live in a private community and our home looks ecvery bit as nice as the stick built homes in the same size category. I am having a problem finding a new range hood and I want one that is fully enclosed. No service from either the manufacturer or the dealer. Paid for upgraded appliances...got cheap GE.

However in order to get a lot of the set up completed properly, we had to contact our Public Service Commission and have a full inspection and force them to stand behind their work. Luckily with their support we were able to get our home liveable within months. Overall the quality of the home construction is very good but it's the dealers representatives and companies hired to set up these homes are the ones that makes your experiences a nightmare.

My husband is constantly on a ladder reattaching the siding that has blown off. The floors squeak, the sheetrock is cracking, fortunately in a closet, the cabinets are pulling away from the walls in the kitchen, etc etc. I have no experience with any other homes, but I would certainly consider another brand than Four Seasons, and I would never use Barnes Homes again. Shareholders also own their home, plus they also bought a “share” in the Co-Op, becoming part owners of the community properties. Share price in Four Seasons Estates ROC, Inc. is $55,000. The shares are specific to their lots and qualify the homeowner’s property to become real estate for tax purposes.
We bought this 1997 model Four Seasons Home 3 years ago and find it to be more sound than most if not all of the lot constructed homes I have lived in over the past 65 years. Our floors are heaving in some area's and our kitchen is sinking. The cabinets (after being replaced because cheap one's were sent instead of the raised oak that we ordered) are pulling away from the walls because the center of the house is sinking. We have no air return system even though it was ordered. I do believe they converted a manufactured house into a modular one. In 1996 we purchased a basement set home 72 X 28 with full drywall and overall we have been very satisfied with the home itself.
